 Peoria Cabaret Theatre is going back in time again on Saturday, May 17^th for a show only (no dinner) performance of THE AWESOME 80S PROM! Admission is only $15!

Called “Totally Rad” by the New York Times, THE AWESOME 80S PROM is an interactive show in the style of Tony ‘n Tina’s Wedding set at Wanaget High’s Senior Prom . . . in 1989! Dig out your parachute pants and your prom dresses, tight roll your jeans, hairspray up your bangs and watch the 80’s drama unfold. Who knows, you may even get to dance with The Captain of the Football Team. And this time, you don’t have a curfew!

“We’re Bicoastal!” Opens The Signature Cabaret Series

  Peoria Cabaret Theatre is very excited to introduce The Signature Cabaret Series to The Broadway Lounge in The NEW Waterhouse at the Maxam Building! 

We open things up on March 21 and 22 with a double bill called “We’re Bicoastal!” Featuring solo shows starring Kelsey Burd (grew up in Washington- now in NYC) and Bryan Krasner (grew up in Peoria- now in LA).  Tickets are $15pp for either show or see them both for $25pp!  Call (309)494-9100 or email thewaterhouse@aol.com to make your reservations. Bryan Krasner performs 3/21 at 9:30pm and 3/22 at 7:30pm

Bryan Krasner recently guest starred on “How I Met Your Mother” on CBS, “Rizzoli and Isles” on TNT, and “Ironside” on NBC. His film credits include leading roles in the Warner Brothers feature “Alien Raiders” and “Scream of the Bikini”. He is a member of the award-winning Sacred Fools Theater Company, performing in “The Magic Bullet Theory”, “Savin’ Up for Saturday Night”, “Neverwhere”,and the critically acclaimed “Beaverquest!” and “Forbidden Zone” which includes original music by Danny Elfman and Oingo Boingo. Bryan also appeared in Sam Shepard’s “The God of Hell” at The Geffen Playhouse directed by Jason Alexander and starring Bryan Cranston from “Breaking Bad”.

Join Kelsey Burd for a musical journey through her childhood influences, her adventure in the big city and future aspirations. She will cover it all from Lady Gaga, to classic rock, to The Phantom of the Opera! Featuring Kristen Williams on the keys, Randy Burd on Guitar and a special appearance by Mike Reams!

Peoria Cabaret Theatre is going back in time again for a good cause. On Saturday, February 22^nd, join the Young Professionals of Caterpillar and H.O.P.E. (Helping Our Patients Everyday) for a special AWESOME 80S PROM Dinner Theatre performance to benefit the Children’s Hospital of Illinois.

THE MUSICAL OF MUSICALS RETURNS!

Peoria Cabaret Theatre is thrilled to present the return engagement of our 2010 smash hit The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!)  for ONE WEEKEND ONLY, March 8^th and 9th.  The original cast is back featuring Barb Couri, Jarod Hazzard, Katie McLuckie, Mike Reams and Tony Roberts on the piano!

THE SHOW: The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!) is a musical about … musicals! In this comic satire of musical theatre genres, the same story is told five different ways – each in the distinctive style of a different master of the form…Rodgers and Hammerstein (Oklahoma, South Pacific), Stephen Sondheim (Company, Sweeney Todd), Jerry Herman (Hello Dolly, Mame), Andrew Lloyd Webber (Phantom of the Opera, Evita), & Kander and Ebb (Chicago, Cabaret). “It’s Saturday Night Live meets Glee!” There is truly something in this show for EVERYONE!

Warm up your vocal chords and dust off your music books! We are hosting a Musical Theatre Open Mic after Mike Reams: OUT OF OBSCURITY-  Songs From Forgotten Broadway tomorrow night August 11!

Just bring yourself and some music (or check out ours!), and we’ll supply the accompanist. A full bar is open for those of you needing a “shot” of courage. Come perform your favorite show tunes in a friendly, supportive, wildly fun environment. Spread the word and tell all your friends!

Doors open at 10pm after the show. All ages are welcome and admission to the Open Mic is FREE!

Mike Reams in OUT OF OBSCURITY: Songs From Forgotten Broadway

Peoria Cabaret Theatre is proud to present Mike Reams in OUT OF OBSCURITY: Songs From Forgotten Broadway as part of our Signature Cabaret Series for one night only on Saturday August 11th, 2012.

Mike Reams (Musical of Musicals, Fully Committed) returns to the PCT stage for this trip down Broadway featuring a unique mix of gems from shows that are little known to today’s audiences. Mike puts his own unique spin on songs from some of Broadway’s top composers, including both rare and classic hits from Jerry Herman, Rogers & Hart, Jule Styne, Kander & Ebb, Burt Bacharach and many more. In addition to the combo led by music director Tony Roberts, Mike will be joined onstage for a special guest appearance by Barb Couri.

The doors open at 6pm. Dinner is from 6:30pm-7:30pm and the show is at 8pm sharp.Tickets are $28pp (includes tax and gratuity) and features a buffet dinner of Italian Beef au jus, Boneless Breast of Chicken in a creamy white wine sauce with mushrooms, smashed potatoes, green beans, glazed baby carrots, tossed mixed greens, dinner rolls, and dessert.

For those who purchased tickets already, they will be refunded in full on Thursday by ArtsPartners.

The flux capacitor is set and Peoria Cabaret Theatre is ready to go “Back in Time” again with our wildly popular The Awesome 80s Prom for one weekend only, July 27th & 28th, 2012.

Called “Totally Rad” by the New York Times, THE AWESOME 80S PROM is an interactive show in the style of Tony ‘n Tina’s Wedding set at Wanaget High’s Senior Prom . . . in 1989! Dig out your parachute pants and prom dresses, tight roll your jeans, hairspray up your bangs and watch the 80’s drama unfold. All of the characters from your favorite 80s movies will be there competing for prom king and queen. Who knows, you may even get to dance with the Captain of the football team. This time, you don’t have a curfew!

Admission is $37pp which includes our rad two entrée combination dinner buffet, show, taxes and gratuity. A full bar is also available to loosen up your dancing shoes!

MURDER AT LEVIEUX CARRE: A Mardi Gras Whodunnit!

You are cordially invited to a Mardi Gras party to die for! Peoria Cabaret Theatre is proud to present our first Interactive Murder Mystery of the season, MURER AT LEVIEUX CARRE: A Mardi Gras Whodunnit! Friday, February 17^th, 2012.

THE SHOW: It is the biggest night of the Carnival Season when the Krewe of Amythaon holds their annual Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball. Dress up and bring your mask (we provide one as well) for this fun night of dinner, dancing, and of course MURDER! After you have solved the case, stick around for more drinking and dancing!
